If you have played and liked previous Karaoke Revolution or American Idol releases you will notice that this one continues in the exact same style. The only negatives are that (again) none of the original artists sing or play their songs but they are actually covered by others. So if you are extremely familar with a particular song you may notice differences here and there with the band's sound and some of the singers do not sound at all like the actual singer's voice. However this is really a minimal problem and does not take away from the overall fun of this game or the others before this one. The game is a blast to play with others and it is not too difficult even for those who can't sing very well. Listed below is the 40 songs included in the game (keep in mind that they are not the original versions):

| I purchased this game as a way for my family to spend interactive time togther while playing the WII. I have to say I am very glad that I did!!!Our little two year old even joins in the fun, singing and holding the mic...he's even getting the dance moves going!!!! Though we are not "singers" ~ with the exception of my hubby ~ we all have a great time together singing and laughing! I highly recommend this GAME!!!ps...DO BUY AN EXTRA MIC FOR DUETS~!!! |

I wanted to try and balance out the negative reviews the PS3 version of this game has been getting. I actually think its the best version of Karaoke Revolution yet. It's like the original PS2 game with improved HD graphics, multiple play modes, online play and leaderboards, and over a hundred downloadable songs(so far). It also works with the PS Eye or the original Eyetoy(for live video to the background screens) and any standard USB microphone. I really think having downloadable songs is the best feature, because you can build up a library of your favorite songs from past versions all on one disc, and not have to drop in and out of a game. If you have any of the old Karaoke Revolution games, you can sell them on Ebay (some of the original games are going for big bucks) and just build up your song collection in this game.
And unlike Singstar, you can use Rockband microphones and this game has a lot more songs that are fun to sing!

| In the words of Simon Cowell, "If I'm being honest..." I'd say that this is "brilliant"! We are having so much fun with this. I bought it for my daughter's 11th b'day. We already had SingStar karaoke which came with 2 microphones, and the original American Idol game, but we didn't know when we bought it that you needed a seperate microphone for it. We thought that we could use the microphones from our SingStar karaoke, so we were very disappointed that we couldn't play. It seems like we've been waiting for ages to use it, and now we are just having the best time! My 9 year old loves it too, and I love that they're having fun, while READING the lyrics at a pretty fast pace. It's secretly helping them while they're having fun! We used this for my daughter's 11th b'day party since it was a karaoke theme, and it was perfect! No need to hire an entertainer, this was more entertainment than we even had time for and everyone had fun! I like the option for just 'karaoke' too. That way if anyone is too sensitive for the judging, that can be quite harsh sometimes, they can just sing along without the fear of judgement. This is particularly good for the younger kids who can get pretty upset if they're not 'the best'. Great game. Great fun. Highly recommend. |

| i love this game too much. Last night i received it in the mail and i was on it all night, knowing that I had to get up the next morning early for work. I am 21 yrs old and i love this game. I mean everything is still the same about the game, but the songs are the only thing different. The one thing is that the eyetoy usb wasnt included like i thought it was. I love this game. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves to sing, or just do karaoke..... |

| My family LOVES this game. We have the original American Idol Karaoke Revolution game which was a big hit, so I was excited when Encore came out. Simon never fails to have us laughing with all new criticisms. The songs are great and they range from older to pretty current. I also bought this as the bundle so I would have another microphone, and we tried the duet mode for the first time; that was so much fun. This game is great for whole family because adults dont have to sit there and fiddle with a game controller, and even my 2 year old, who obviously cant read the words on the screen, loves to hear herself 'sing' along. I definitely recommend this game if you are looking for a entertaining time. |
